Why
I Like Baseball!
I like country roads and moonlit nights, homemade fudge and ocean sunsets.
I like songs like "Girl of my Dreams", love stories and happy endings, Norman Rockwell and grand opera.
I like Wrigley Field and office pools. I like Opening Day, Bat Night, guest anthem singers and "Take Me Out to the Ball Game".
I like Babe Ruth's bat, Ty Cobb's spikes, Stan the Man, Leo the Lip, The Big Train and 'Ol Diz, Willie, Mickey and the Duke, Joe D. and the Iron Horse.
I like baseball. I've never been unhappy in a baseball park in my life. Too slow? For whom? I never went to a baseball park in a hurry in my life. I don't plan to start anytime in the near future. As the song goes, "I don't care if I never get back"!
